CLIENT: NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL, SINGAPORE
EVENT: SHINE FESTIVAL
SHINE Festival 2015: 10 to 12 July 2015
SHINE Festival 2016: 1 to 3 July 2016
SHINE Festival by the National Youth Council (NYC) is an annual celebration of Singapore youths to showcase their talents. For 2 consecutive years, The Events Artery (TEA) has managed and produced the 3-day Festival that took over Orchard Road each year.
Each year, SHINE Festival promote positive themes that encourage youths towards self-development and growing their talents – #BuildYourWorld in 2015 and #YourNextStage in 2016. The Festival programming is curated around youth-centric verticals – Visual Arts, Urban Sports, Pop Culture, Music and Dance and Interactive Media.
The Festival’s scope began months before the event – through the talent Development Program that connected industry professionals to aspiring youth talent to develop their skills under the verticals.
Onsite, we transformed Orchard Road (from Ion to Mandarin Gallery and *Scape) into an immersive festival ground. Over 2015 and 2016, SHINE Festival boasted dynamic line-up of 13 international and 56 local artistes and groups.
In 2016, the Festival grew in size as well as outreach – 70,000 participants from 50,000 in 2015, 250,000 visitors, $0.5mil in media value garnered and reaching over 6 million social media users.
