EVENT: PRUDENTIAL LEARNER’S WEEK 2019
The Prudential Learner’s Week is an annual training event that brings together 5000 staff and agents from offices all over the island. This year, Prudential focused on illuminating alternative paths of learning such as e-learning and holistic methodology, encouraging their staff to take ownership of their own careers.
We kicked off with a launch ceremony for 300 partners and staff, with Prudential leaders sharing their Human Resource mission and key growth areas. Opening the event with impact, we commissioned a seemingly empty canvas that revealed a hidden message when splashed with paint – “Learn. Unlearn. Relearn.”
We transformed Level 6 of the Prudential office at Marina East Tower into zones of play and learning. We deployed gamification strategies to create engagement – each visitor during the 5 days collected a “Learner’s Passport” to attend classroom sessions and activities at the play zones, accumulating enough points for a customised gift.
While 18 interactive classroom sessions on Purpose, Innovation and Unlearning ran over the week, 4 Play Zones engaged attendees in creative ways e.g. a word search game played on a touchscreen allowed users to simultaneously absorb key phrases while exploring resources available for further training. We took traditional craft and games and added interactive technology such as motion activated walls and sound painting technology, to create an innovative approach designed to engage the senses and inspire the mind.
Over 5 days, the event received over 5000 staff and agents – each re-aligned with the organization and empowered to own their learning journeys.
